The Artist’s Voice is a group of Adelaide Hills-based artists, who exhibit annually at the end of the year at the Hahndorf Academy. At the moment they exhibit three times a year, in other galleries around the Hills and Southern Vales as well; earlier this year there was a group show in the Port Augusta regional gallery.
The Christmas Exhibition 2014 is opening on Sunday 7th December 2014. The exhibition this year is being opened by Dr Christine Nicholls, academic at Flinders University, art critic and a specialist in Indigenous art and culture.
I have included a photograph as my entry – since I have not done any painting for a few years, but have taken 150,000 photographs since 2010, of which I usually select up to about 100 a month that I think are worthwhile and perhaps a tenth of those that I might consider for exhibition.
I will be continuing to revamp some of my hard edge paintings as digital versions – subject to time and money I will begin to exhibit these in the ensuing years.
I will be keen to see the reaction to my selected photograph (below), as it was selected earlier this year for the “Light” exhibition at the Shimmer photography festival on the Fleurieu Peninsula; and was subsequently published in a book on the project by Atkins Techicolour Photo Lab.
